## Devpost submission (written by the team)

### Inspiration

The inspiration came from witnessing the anxiety and uncertainty that many students, including 3 of us, face when making one of the most important decisions of their lives: choosing a university. We were inspired to create a solution that would alleviate this stress and provide students with the tools they need to make an informed and confident choice about their higher education.

### What it does

Project VIBE is an advanced platform that combines data analysis, machine learning, evidence-based questions about personality, and expert guidance to match students with universities that perfectly align with their academic aspirations, interests, and personal preferences. It streamlines the university selection process, offering personalized recommendations and comprehensive insights to empower students in their decision-making.

### How we built it

We built Project VIBE through a multidisciplinary approach. We gathered data on universities and student profiles, designed algorithms for matching, and created an intuitive user interface to make the tool accessible to students. Extensive testing and refinement were conducted to ensure accuracy and user-friendliness.

### Challenges we ran into

Since all of us are freshmen and newbies in this field we were really struggling with the coding part and in decision of which platform we would use to build. Furthermore, one of the major challenges we encountered was sourcing and managing the vast amount of data required for effective university matching. Ensuring data accuracy and staying up-to-date with university programs and admission criteria was a constant effort. Additionally, fine-tuning our machine learning algorithms to provide precise recommendations proved to be a complex task.

### Accomplishments we're proud of

At least we did not give up on this project even until the deadlines came, we still did not have exactly the final work we expected

### What we learned

Throughout the development of Project VIBE, we learned the importance of collaboration and the potential for technology to transform education. We gained insights into the complexities of data management, algorithm optimization, and user experience design. Most importantly, we learned that with dedication and innovation, we can significantly improve the lives of students on their path to higher education.

### What's next

In the future, we plan to expand the capabilities of Project VIBE. We aim to include more personalized features, such as financial aid guidance, internship and career placement recommendations, and a broader range of universities worldwide. Our goal is to make the platform even more accessible and beneficial for students globally, helping them achieve their academic and career aspirations with confidence.
